Act I: The Last Archivist (20%) Arthur was the last Archivist of the Eternal Library, a floating fortress that existed outside of time. His duty was to appraise the "Essence" of dying civilizations. When a world ended, its most representative object was sent to the Library. Arthur would authenticate its truth, ensuring that the memory of that world was preserved accurately in the Great Catalog. He was a man of absolute precision, believing that the truth was the only thing that survived the end of time.

Act II: The Forbidden Artifact (30%) One day, a small, unremarkable brass clock arrived from a world that had vanished in a sudden, inexplicable flash. As Arthur appraised it, he discovered a glitch in the object's essence. The clock didn't just record time; it could rewind it. If activated, the clock could restore the civilization it came from, but at the cost of erasing another world from the Catalog. Arthur was faced with a moral crisis. He had spent his life preserving the past, but now he had the power to change it. He began to study the clock in secret, imagining a world where the tragedy of that civilization had never happened.

Act III: The Weight of Choice (35%) Arthur's obsession grew. He discovered that the civilization destroyed by the flash had been a utopia of art and peace, while the world he was currently protecting—the Library's own home dimension—was a cold, bureaucratic wasteland of archives. He decided to use the clock to swap the two. He would sacrifice the Library to bring back the Utopia. But as he prepared the ritual, he appraised the "Truth" of the Utopia one last time. He saw that their peace was built on a foundation of absolute censorship and the erasure of all dissent. Their "perfection" was a curated lie. The "truth" of the wasteland, however, was honest in its misery.

Act IV: The Eternal Archive (15%) Arthur looked at the clock and then at the vast rows of the Library. He realized that the purpose of the Archivist wasn't to create a perfect world, but to bear witness to the real one, no matter how broken it was. He destroyed the clock, ensuring that the Utopia remained a memory and the wasteland remained a reality. He returned to his desk and began to write the final entry for the brass clock, noting that its greatest value was the lesson it taught about the danger of perfection. He sat in the silence of the Library, a guardian of a billion honest tragedies.

The Delta doesn't forgive. It swallows. You pour your life into that red earth—your sweat, your prayers, your sins—and the river takes it all and carries it downstream, where nobody remembers where it came from.
