The Manor of Whispers

**Act I: The Gilded Cage (20%)** The Blackwood Manor sat in the heart of the Louisiana bayou, a rotting monument to a dead era. Collins, the last of a decaying lineage, was a man of exquisite and terrible tastes. He didn't just want a wife; he wanted a specimen. He had used the family's remaining influence to "claim" a woman from a ruined neighboring estate, treating her not as a partner, but as a living sculpture in his gallery of curiosities. She was kept in a room of white marble and silk, a bird in a gilded cage, while the humid air of the swamp seeped into the walls, bringing with it the smell of decay.

**Act II: The Stranger's Inquiry (30%)** Elias arrived at the manor under the guise of a historian researching the Blackwood genealogy. In reality, he was a man haunted by his own losses, a legal scholar who had found a strange kinship with the victims of the same family. Elias didn't try to rescue the woman through force; he knew the swamp would swallow any one who tried to flee. Instead, he began to study Collins's mind. He discovered that Collins suffered from a profound, narcissistic delusion—he believed he could "curate" the soul of another person. Elias began to feed this delusion, suggesting that the only way to achieve true artistic perfection was through a ritual of "absolute surrender."

**Act III: The Mirror's Trap (35%)** Elias convinced Collins to build a "Mirror Room," a chamber of infinite reflections designed to amplify the subject's inner essence. He told Collins that if he could see the "true soul" of his captive, he would become immortal. The room was a masterpiece of psychological engineering. As Collins entered the chamber, the lighting and the angles began to distort his perception. Elias whispered through the vents, using the man's own fears and guilt as a catalyst. Collins, trapped in a loop of his own reflected arrogance, began to see the faces of everyone he had destroyed. The "perfection" he sought became a kaleidoscope of horror, and in a fit of psychotic terror, he locked himself in the room, unable to find the exit in the maze of mirrors.

**Act IV: The Swamp's Embrace (15%)** When Elias finally opened the door, he found Collins curled in a fetal position, his mind completely shattered. The woman was free, but she didn't run. She stood at the edge of the manor, watching the swamp reclaim the gardens. She looked at Elias and realized that the man who had saved her had used the same tools of manipulation as the man who had imprisoned her. She walked away into the fog, leaving both men behind in the ruins of the manor, where the only thing that remained was the sound of the wind through the cypress trees.
